CONROE — A 19‑year‑old man was killed Thursday evening in a two‑vehicle collision on North Loop 336 East in Conroe, according to the Conroe Police Department.

Officers were dispatched at approximately 6:37 p.m. to the 200 block of North Loop 336 East for a major crash involving a passenger car and a pick‑up truck. When officers arrived, they found a passenger in the car entrapped with severe injuries. Conroe Fire Department and EMS personnel began treatment shortly after arriving, but the victim did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified the deceased as George Ramirez, 19, of Cut and Shoot. His family was notified at their residence.

According to preliminary findings from the Conroe Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit, the passenger car had been traveling westbound when the driver attempted a lane change. Investigators say the car lost control, spun, and skidded into oncoming lanes, where it was struck by the pick‑up truck. Both drivers and a passenger in the truck were taken to a local hospital and were reported to be in stable condition.

The District Attorney’s Vehicular Crimes Unit responded to assist with the investigation. Conroe police said the case remains open and no additional details are available at this time.

Chief Jon Buckholtz offered condolences on behalf of the department to Ramirez’s family and everyone affected by the crash.
