Flock Camera Tracked Suspect Vehicle After Alleged $40,000 Robbery
CROCKETT, TEXAS — On June
26, 2026, Anderson County authorities notified Houston County dispatch that a Flock camera had identified a vehicle believed to be connected to approximately $40,000 in cash taken during a robbery in Royse City. The vehicle was last confirmed traveling through Elkhart and heading toward Houston County.
A Houston County Sheriff’s Deputy soon spotted the vehicle turning onto Loop 304 from U.S. Highway 287 North and continuing toward FM 229. A Crockett Police Department officer positioned near FM 2076 then observed the vehicle speeding. Officers initiated a traffic stop near Loop 304 and State Highway 7 West.
During the stop, officers learned one of the three occupants had an outstanding Assault warrant out of Harris County. He was taken into custody. A search incident to arrest revealed approximately $40,000 in cash concealed on the alleged suspect, along with a black mask and black gloves.
The driver consented to a search of the vehicle. Officers located more black masks, black gloves, and dark clothing that matched descriptions provided by Royse City detectives investigating the robbery.
At the request of Royse City Police Department, the remaining two occupants were detained until detectives arrived to continue the investigation.
Following the multi‑agency investigation, the following suspects were arrested and charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity:
- Edward Davion Cannon
- James Hoyd White
- Aaron Oscar Carter
All three were booked into the Hunt County
Jail. The Sheriff’s Office said the case demonstrates the effectiveness of modern technology and coordinated policing. Agencies involved included:

- Crockett Police Department
- Texas Parks and Wildlife State Game Wardens
- Royse City Police Department
Their combined efforts led to the recovery of the stolen cash and the swift identification of the alleged suspects. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
