Huntsville Police Arrest Wanted Felon Near Brookshire Brothers

HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS – A wanted felon was taken into custody Tuesday evening after Huntsville Police officers located him at the Brookshire Brothers on 11th Street around 6:23 PM.
According to police, the suspect Ronald Lewis, 22, of Anna, Texas alleged fled when officers approached him. Police allege Lewis was wanted on multiple felony warrants and was also found to be involved in an alleged unauthorized use of a motor vehicle at the time of the arrest.
Lewis was booked into the Walker County Jail on the following new charges:
- Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle
- Evading Arrest or Detention
Lewis was wanted on several active warrants, including:
- Claim Lottery Prize Fraud >$200 ≤ $10,000
- Fail to Identify as Fugitive From Justice
- Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon (Motion to Revoke)
- Evading Arrest/Detention With a Vehicle (Failure to Appear)
- Possession of Marijuana <2 oz (Failure to Appear)
- Possession of Marijuana <2 oz (Motion to Revoke)
- Collision Involving Damage to Vehicle
A second individual, Je’an Jennee Hunter, was also arrested at the McDonald’s on 11th Street roughly one block from Brookshire Brothers.
Hunter faces the following charges:
- Interfering With Duties of a Public Servant
- Failure to Identify as a Fugitive / Giving False Information
- Outstanding Warrant: Theft of Property $100–$750
Both suspects were transported to the Walker County Jail. As of the time of publication, bond amounts had not yet been released. All suspects arrested are innocent until proven guilty.
