Subzero Robber Arrested For Allegedly Targeting Area Frost Banks
HOUSTON & CONROE, TEXAS – Authorities have allegedly identified the man known as the “Subzero” Robber as Jamail White, a suspect investigators say is responsible for a series of armed Frost Bank robberies across the Houston region and in Conroe.
White was taken into custody in North Dakota and now faces Texas state robbery charges following a coordinated effort by the FBI, Houston Police Department, Harris County Sheriff’s Office, and Conroe Police Department.
White’s arrest marks a major development in a multi‑year investigation, but federal agents say the case is not closed. They believe White may be connected to additional robberies and are urging the public to come forward with any further information.
Investigators allege White matches the description of the masked gunman who robbed multiple Frost Bank locations while wearing distinctive cold weather gear, earning him the nickname “Subzero.” He is linked to at least three armed robberies:
- Frost Bank – 9990 Almeda‑Genoa Rd., Houston
January 27, 2026
The suspect entered the bank around 9:05 a.m., displayed a black handgun, ordered employees to the ground, and fled with cash. No injuries were reported.
- Frost Bank – 8502 Main St., Houston
October 27, 2021 - Frost Bank – 2200 N. Frazier St., Conroe
December 28, 2021
Across the robberies, the suspect was consistently described as a Black male, late 20s to early 40s, approximately 5’7”, with a thin build. During the 2026 robbery, he wore a lime green ski mask, gray jacket, black pants, black shoes, and white gloves.
Even with White in custody, investigators say they are continuing to review evidence and follow leads. They believe additional victims or witnesses may still be unidentified.
Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering up to $5,000 for information that helps expand or complete the case.
