Walker County Community Survey Underway
By Staff Writer
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS – Representatives from GrantWorks, in partnership with Walker County, will begin conducting a community survey in the Moffett Springs Road area on Wednesday (05-20-2026).
The initiative aims to help determine the county’s eligibility for future state and federal grant funding that could support vital infrastructure and community improvement projects.
Surveyors will be going door-to-door to collect information from residents. Participation is voluntary, but county officials emphasize that community involvement is essential to ensure accurate data collection for potential funding opportunities.
According to the release from the Walker County Commissioners Court, the survey will take only a few minutes to complete. The information gathered will remain strictly confidential and will be used solely to support grant applications for local improvement projects such as road repairs, sewer upgrades, and recreational services.
The survey is part of a broader effort to secure funding that could enhance public infrastructure and improve quality of life for residents. Officials encourage all households in the area to participate when contacted by a GrantWorks representative.
Community members are thanked in advance for their cooperation and support in helping Walker County pursue future development opportunities.
