Alleged Predator Charged With Three More Felonies
POLK COUNTY, Texas — The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has announced three additional first‑degree felony charges against Cody Allen Laviolette, expanding the criminal case tied to the suspicious death of Kelly Taylor Mariah Little on May 23, 2026.
Detectives say the continued investigation led them to identify another alleged child victim who previously lived with Laviolette. After completing forensic interviews, investigators obtained evidence supporting three counts of alleged Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, each classified as a first‑degree felony under Texas law.
Warrants for the new charges were issued and served on Laviolette inside the Polk County Jail, where he has remained since his July arrest on earlier felony charges. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Laviolette is currently held on $3,350,000 in existing bonds, a total that does not include any bond amounts that may be set for the three newly filed charges.
Authorities emphasize that the investigation remains active and expanding. They continue urging anyone who may have witnessed criminal activity involving Laviolette, or who believes they may have been a victim, to contact investigators. Information from witnesses and victims is considered critical to advancing the case.
