Smoke Shop Raid Nets THC Seizures
Montgomery County, Texas — A south Montgomery County smoke shop was the focus of a major operation on August 18, 2026, resulting in the seizure of large quantities of illegal THC products, cash, and a firearm, according to the Montgomery County Narcotic Enforcement Team.
Members of the Montgomery County Narcotics Enforcement Team, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Crime Reduction Unit executed a search warrant at Exotic Kings Smoke & Vape, located at 324 Rayford Road, after an extensive investigation into suspected illegal drug activity. Detectives said the operation was prompted by multiple tips from the public.
During the search, investigators recovered:
- One firearm
- Nearly seven pounds of marijuana
- Over 1,200 grams of THC vape devices
- More than 4,000 grams of THC edible products
- Approximately $30,000 in cash, believed to be proceeds from illicit drug sales
Officials noted the proximity of the smoke shop to a daycare center as a significant concern during the investigation.
Deputies took Mohamed Elwaseem, 25, into custody following the search. Elwaseem was charged with Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. His bond was set at $50,000.
