Man Shot Dead

MONTGOMERY COUNTY — A man was fatally shot Tuesday morning in the Kenswick Park area of Montgomery County. A caller reported to authorities that he had shot his brother, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies with the agency’s east command were dispatched just before 8 AM to the 20700 block of Kenswick Park Drive, where the caller told dispatchers he had shot his sibling. When deputies arrived, they found the victim critically wounded and immediately began life saving measures, but the man died at the scene.

The suspected shooter was detained without incident, and investigators say there is no active threat to the public.

Major Crimes detectives are now responding to the neighborhood to process the scene and begin determining what led up to the shooting. The sheriff’s office said the investigation is in its early stages and details remain limited.

This shootings is under investigation and this is an ongoing investigation. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
