HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS – The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has expanded its national “Worst of the Worst” database, adding another 5,000 criminal offenders to the public website that highlights arrested individuals identified by federal authorities as posing significant public safety risks.

The update brings the total number of offenders displayed on the site to more than 35,000, according to DHS. Huntsville now has over 147 individuals listed in the database, which tracks arrests made across the country. The searchable system is available at WOW.DHS.gov, where users can look up offenders by name, location, or criminal category.

The “Worst of the Worst” website launched on December 8, 2025, as part of a federal transparency initiative. DHS officials say the platform showcases only a portion of the “hundreds of thousands” of criminal offenders arrested nationwide.

Criminal histories represented in the database include homicide, sex offenses involving children, driving under the influence, aggravated assault, hit and run incidents, drug possession, and arson.

“With this webpage, the American people can search through the criminals that we’ve arrested in their communities,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. “Criminal illegal aliens arrested by ICE include murderers, rapists, pedophiles, and gang members. If you see an ICE law enforcement officer, thank them for removing these thugs from your neighborhoods.”

Huntsville’s listing now exceeding 147 offenders reflects arrests made in the region by federal immigration authorities. DHS officials emphasize that the database is not exhaustive but is intended to highlight individuals they classify as posing the highest risk to public safety.

Now don’t freak out too much, as Huntsville’s high volume of arrest accounts for many criminal aliens being release from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice’s custody into the hands of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Residents can review Huntsville area entries through the website’s city search function at WOW.DHS.gov.
