New Series of Felony Charges Filed Against Onalaska Man
ONALASKA, TEXAS —. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has announced a new set of felony charges against Cody Allen Laviolette after another victim came forward in connection with the ongoing investigation into the May 23, 2026 suspicious death of 31 year old Kelly Taylor Mariah Little.
Little died at Laviolette’s residence, prompting a wide ranging investigation that has steadily expanded, as more victims have contacted authorities.
Since the case began, investigators say multiple victims have come forward, many of whom reported feeling safer after learning Laviolette remained in custody. Detectives note that the continued flow of information has been critical to building the case and identifying additional alleged offenses.
Another victim contacted the sheriff’s office, leading investigators to file a new set of serious charges against Laviolette, including:
- Assault of a Family or Household Member Impeding Breath or Circulation — Third degree felony
- Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon — Second‑degree felony
- Aggravated Sexual Assault — First degree felony
- Sexual Assault — Two counts, both second degree felonies
- Bestiality — State jail felony
- Unlawful Restraint – Exposure to Serious Bodily Injury — Third degree felony
Investigators say they have received information suggesting additional victims may exist, who have not yet come forward. Detectives emphasized that individuals can report incidents regardless of how long ago they occurred.
