Madison Police Need Your Help in Locating Suspect

MADISONVILLE, Texas — The Madisonville Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Gerardo Martinez, who is wanted on a Theft charge greater than $750 but less than $2,500 (Class A Misdemeanor).

According to police, Martinez is a habitual offender with an extensive criminal history involving theft and related offenses. He currently faces six active warrants, five of which were issued by four other law‑enforcement agencies, most being felony theft warrants.

Investigators say Martinez, 40, was identified in connection with a February 2026 theft at a Tractor Supply store in Madisonville, where approximately $1,630.98 worth of merchandise was taken.

Martinez is described as a Hispanic male, 5′6″ tall, 200 pounds, last known to reside in Houston, and possibly driving a brownish‑tan SUV.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
