Huntsville, Texas – The murder trial against Larry D LeFlore, one of the most anticipated criminal trials in Walker County, set to begin on October 8th was postponed this week. The 12th State District Judge David Moorman set a status hearing for January 22, 2025 to begin at 9 AM.

After the murder in 1991, Larry quickly promoted up through the prison system ranks to the Chairman of TDCJ’s Statewide Classification & Records. He was a prominent member of the Prince Hall Masonic Lodge and was a community influencer prior to his indictment.
Leflore was booked into the Walker County Jail on June 29, 2017 by the Huntsville Police for the murder indictment. LeFlore was released the next day on a $20,000 bond. Leflore is represented by Bellaire based attorney James Ardoin.
