Texas State University System’s Board of Regents Approves SHSU Bowers Stadium Upgrades

Huntsville, Texas – Design development documents for the new Bowers Stadium press box and stadium improvements were approved by the Texas State University System Board of Regents at their meeting this week at their quarterly meeting August 8th & 9th.

The stadium project will replace the existing press box with a more modern, five level structure. The building will include updated concessions and restrooms.  Luxury suites and a club area with access to outdoor balcony seating will be added. 

Page Southerland Page, Incorporated and architecture firm DLR Group were awarded the contract to renovate the Elliott T. Bowers Football Stadium.

The $60 million project will be financed through a combination of bonds and the contributions from donors.
