High Speed Pursuit Lands One Man in Jail on a Felony Evading Charge

Huntsville, Texas – Yesterday, July 19,2024, at around 3:50 PM a Trinity Police Officer observed a white GMC Acadia allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed (87 MPH in a 55 MPH zone).

The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the vehicle’s driver allegedly refused to pull over. The vehicle was pursued into the City of Huntsville city limits where the pursuit was safely terminated with assistance from Walker County Sheriff’s Office, Walker County Constable, and Texas Department of Public Safety.
