Local Huntsville Man Faces a 2nd Degree Felony for an Industrial Arson
Huntsville, Texas – The Huntsville Police have charged a 51 year old local Huntsville man with arson.
Paul Kinser was charged with a second degree felony arson for an industrial fire he is accused of setting at 404 Interstate 45 North. The location housed a large metal building that contained a sign screen printing business and another building containing a barbershop next to it.
Through the quick actions of the Huntsville Fire Department, the barbershop was saved, however the print business next door was a total loss. Engines from Crabbs Prairie Volunteer Fire Department and the North Montgomery County Fire Department assisted with extinguishing this massive fire.
A thorough investigation was conducted by the Huntsville Police Department , Huntsville Fire Personnel, the Montgomery County Fire Marshall’s Office, and Federal ATF agents out of the Houston field office who located evidence that indicated the fire was intentionally set.
During the investigation, Paul Kinser was identified as a person of interest in the crime. Kinser could face 2 to 20 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice if found guilty.
Kinser is also facing other charges for possession of controlled substance and theft over 2,500 dollars in addition to a parole violation.
Kinser is no stranger to local law enforcement. Records obtained by Huntsville Happens indicate Kinser has been arrested over 35 times in Walker County.
Bond has not been set for the arson charge.
