Details Revealed on New East Texas Casino
LEGGETT, Texas — June 18, 2026 — A new era for Naskila Casino and the Alabama‑Coushatta Tribe of Texas is officially underway after tribal leaders, community members, and project partners gathered Thursday for the groundbreaking of the future Naskila Casino Resort.
The ceremony marks a defining milestone as the Tribe celebrates 10 years of Naskila Casino operations and accelerates its long‑term vision for economic growth in East Texas.
The resort will rise on a 95‑acre site in Leggett, transforming the existing gaming destination into a full‑scale regional attraction. Plans call for an expanded gaming floor, upscale hotel, multiple dining venues, entertainment spaces, a resort‑style pool complex, and flexible event and conference facilities designed to draw visitors from across Texas and neighboring states.
Tribal leaders emphasized that the project represents far more than a construction milestone — it is a generational investment in jobs, tourism, and community development.
The future resort “will build on Naskila’s success as a major economic driver for East Texas,” tribal officials said, noting that the expansion will create new employment opportunities, strengthen partnerships, and deliver long‑lasting benefits for tribal citizens, employees, and surrounding communities.
The Alabama‑Coushatta Tribe thanked the many supporters who attended the groundbreaking, including community members, employees, and guests who have helped make Naskila “The Luckiest Spot in Texas” over the past decade.
With shovels in the ground and construction now underway, the Tribe says the journey toward a larger, more dynamic Naskila Casino Resort has officially begun and more updates will be shared as the project progresses.
