Student Charged After Making Threats Against Students

WILLIS, Texas — A 15‑year‑old Willis High School student has been charged with Terroristic Threat after allegedly making statements about “shooting other students in the classroom,” according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred Thursday, August 27, 2026, inside a classroom at Willis High School.

Deputies assigned as School Resource Officers responded immediately after school staff reported the threat. The student was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center, where they remain detained.

The Sheriff’s Office emphasized that any threat toward a school—whether verbal, written, posted online, or made jokingly—will be treated as serious and may result in criminal charges.
