MONTGOMERY COUNTY — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect in Tuesday morning’s fatal shooting on Kenswick Park Drive as 20‑year‑old Jesse Myers, according to a new press release issued this afternoon.

Deputies were dispatched just before 8 AM to the 20700 block of Kenswick Park Drive, where a caller told dispatchers he had shot his brother. When deputies arrived, they found 24 year old Able Myers critically wounded. Despite immediate life saving efforts, Able died at the scene.

Detectives now say information gathered on‑scene indicates the shooting stemmed from a verbal argument between the two brothers. During that confrontation, investigators report that Jesse produced a firearm and shot Able.

Jesse Myers was detained without incident at the scene and has since been transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where he is charged with Murder.

The sheriff’s office says the investigation remains active, and no additional details are available at this time. Major Crimes detectives continue processing evidence and interviewing witnesses to determine the full circumstances surrounding the shooting.

All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
