An Active Shooter Alert Locks Down Several Campuses

The Woodlands, Texas – Around noon time an active shooter alert was reported at The Woodlands Campus of Lone Star College. At this time there are no active shooter threats at Lone Star Collge – Montgomery.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a female driver heard a loud bang while driving on College Park Dr. and initially thought she had been shot at. An investigation uncovered there was no active shooter and that a deer had collided with her vehicle.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Lone Star College campus and other area campuses were briefly placed on lockdown. Law enforcement from Sam Houston State University responded to the area and a Katsafe Alert was issued. The University’s College Park location was placed on lockdown.
