Historic and Iconic Huntsville Landmark Restored

Huntsville, Texas – On May 30th a straight line wind storm hit the Huntsville area toppling many trees in the area.  A a casualty of the windstorm was the historic Robert A. Josey Scout Lodge’s sign, an iconic Huntsville land mark. 

The historic lodge was built in 1934 on 10.6 acres in what is now the center of Huntsville. 

A group of scout volunteers both young and older took their time to restore the historic Huntsville icon. 

Restoration work on the sign was competed today thanks to the hard work of the volunteers pitching in to restore this historic and iconic Huntsville landmark.
