Lowry<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-0c03ba0898709605ff026fb008c437f6\">09-27-2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Huntsville Police Report an Officer Involved Shooting, Suspect Fled Into Woods.\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Bqf4A0K3sKo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Huntsville, Texas &#8211; This morning the Huntsville Police Department stated in a press release they had an officer involved shooting.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At around 2:27 AM Huntsville officers responded to a report of suspicious activity at the Bill Fick Ford dealership, located at 737 Interstate 45.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dealership\u2019s monitored surveillance system picked up suspicious activity and police quickly responded.&nbsp;&nbsp;Officers upon arriving found two suspects stealing taillights off trucks in the lot.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to one person we talked to, those particular taillights can cost up to $1,200 a piece, due to the anti collision sensor in some of them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Huntsville Police the suspects fled to their vehicle as officers approached.&nbsp;&nbsp;The officers attempted to detain them, when the fleeing driver steered the getaway car toward the officers who were on foot.&nbsp;&nbsp;At this point police say an officer \u201cengaged the subjects\u201d.&nbsp;&nbsp;It is unknown if the suspect driver was hit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The suspects fled south bound on the Interstate 45 feeder road and ended up&nbsp;&nbsp;entering the Huntsville State Park and ultimately fled on foot into the woods.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The passenger identified as Sergio San Filippo was quickly apprehended, but the driver fled into the woods.  San Filippo is facing a third degree felony theft and evading arrest \/ detention. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tracking K9\u2019s from Montgomery County and TDCJ were dispatched to the scene, but were not able to locate the driver.&nbsp;&nbsp;Officers are keeping a watch over the area.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The suspect driver is described as a Hispanic male, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and black shorts.&nbsp;&nbsp;The suspect possibly has a tattoo underneath the outside of his right eye.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police state there is no indication that the suspects were armed, and they do not believe there is any continuing threat to the community.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any information on the identity of the get away driver, please contact the Huntsville Police Department at (936) 291-5480 or Crime Stoppers at (936) 294-9494.&nbsp;&nbsp;Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By L.
