K. O&#8217;Malley, J. D. Ellis, and C. M. Zettel Nalen with the University of Florida IFAS Extension, \u201cthe main difference between the European and Africanized honey bee is its defense response; an Africanized honey bee colony, if disturbed, will send more guard bees to sting, and will pursue for a longer distance and stay agitated for a longer period of time, than a European honey bee.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Bedias Cemetery Association, P.O.
