<\/figure>\n\n\n\nMontgomery, Texas – In a press release the Montgomery County Sheriff\u2019s Office acknowledged an investigation was being conducted into an officer involved shooting yesterday around the 7000 block of Forest Hills Drive in Montgomery, Texas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At approximately 3:45 p.m., Deputies from Montgomery County responded to a crash involving an alleged intoxicated suspect in the area of Forest Hills Dr. Upon arriving Deputies attempted to locate the male suspect, who allegedly fled into a heavily wooded area to evade capture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the search for the suspect, it was alleged 27-year-old Tobias Sangster of Montgomery emerged from hiding and brandished what appeared to be a rifle, pointing it at the Deputies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Montgomery County Sheriffs Office Deputy discharged his firearm multiple times. The suspect subsequently dropped the weapon and was taken into custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was later discovered the suspect sustained no injuries from the shots fired and that the rifle was, in fact, a pellet gun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Violent Crimes Unit, along with Crime Scene Investigators, are conducting an investigation into the shooting incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sangster was booked into the Montgomery County Jail facing charges of Aggravated Assault on a Public Servant and Driving While Intoxicated. Sangster is being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a $100,000 bond for the Aggravated Assault on a Public Servant charge and a $1,500 bond for the DWI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
