The Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office has announced a new set of felony charges against Cody Allen Laviolette after another victim came forward in connection with the ongoing investigation into the May 23, 2026 suspicious death of 31 year old Kelly Taylor Mariah Little.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Little died at Laviolette\u2019s residence, prompting a wide ranging investigation that has steadily expanded, as more victims have contacted authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the case began, investigators say multiple victims have come forward, many of whom reported feeling safer after learning Laviolette remained in custody. Detectives note that the continued flow of information has been critical to building the case and identifying additional alleged offenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another victim contacted the sheriff\u2019s office, leading investigators to file a new set of serious charges against Laviolette, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assault of a Family or Household Member Impeding Breath or Circulation \u2014 Third degree felony<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon \u2014 Second\u2011degree felony<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aggravated Sexual Assault \u2014 First degree felony<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sexual Assault \u2014 Two counts, both second degree felonies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bestiality \u2014 State jail felony<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unlawful Restraint \u2013 Exposure to Serious Bodily Injury \u2014 Third degree felony<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Investigators say they have received information suggesting additional victims may exist, who have not yet come forward. Detectives emphasized that individuals can report incidents regardless of how long ago they occurred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office continues urging anyone who believes they may have been victimized by Laviolette, or who has information relevant to the investigation, to contact detectives.
