ONALASKA, TEXAS \u2014 The Onalaska Police have arrested a 25\u2011year\u2011old man following an investigation into an alleged predatory \ufffc offenses involving a child, according to a press release issued by the department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Onalaska officers took Omar Mosqueda, 25, into custody on August 11, 2026, at approximately 7:30 p.m. after developing information during a child predatory \ufffcoffense investigation. Mosqueda was booked into the Polk County Jail on a charge of Aggravated Sexual Assault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police say the case remains active, and due to the victim\u2019s age and the sensitive nature of the allegations, no additional details are being released at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the statement, the Onalaska Police Department emphasized its commitment to protecting children, noting that allegations of child abuse and predatory abuse are handled \u201cthoroughly, professionally, and with the seriousness they deserve.\u201d The department added that safeguarding children is a responsibility shared across the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
