CONROE, TEXAS \u2014 A Montgomery County jury has sentenced 23\u2011year\u2011old Logan Michael Parker to two concurrent life sentences in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after finding him guilty of Aggravated Sexual Assault and Aggravated Kidnapping for the violent attack of a pregnant convenience\u2011store clerk working alone during an overnight shift in Conroe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jurors returned their guilty verdicts on August 5, 2026, following a multi\u2011day trial in the 435th District Court before Judge Patty Maginnis. During the punishment phase the next day, the jury deliberated only briefly before assessing life imprisonment on both counts and finding both enhancement allegations true. Parker will not be eligible for parole for at least 30 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to evidence presented at trial, Parker entered a gas station on State Highway 105 shortly after midnight to buy a drink. When his payment card was declined, the clerk voided the transaction and used her employee discount so he could leave with the drink free of charge. Minutes later, prosecutors said Parker returned to the store, parking behind the building and turning off his headlights before targeting the lone pregnant employee. He forced her into a restroom, threatened her life, sexually assaulted her, stole her phone, and fled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The victim hid until customers arrived and then sought help. One customer immediately called 911.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Conroe Police Department launched an extensive investigation that uncovered surveillance footage, DNA evidence, digital forensic analysis, cellular records, vehicle\u2011location data, and other forensic material. Prosecutors said the evidence left no doubt Parker was responsible for the attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chief Prosecutor Laura Hill and Division Chief Shanna Redwine represented the State. Hill said the case was built on \u201ca survivor\u2019s courage, exceptional police work, and the facts,\u201d adding that the jury\u2019s verdict ensures \u201ca dangerous offender has been removed from our community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
District Attorney Mike Holley said Parker repaid the clerk\u2019s kindness with \u201ccalculated evil,\u201d praising the victim\u2019s bravery and the work of investigators and prosecutors.
