{"id":1747,"date":"2026-07-21T01:56:07","date_gmt":"2026-07-21T01:56:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hvhappens.com\/?p=1747"},"modified":"2026-07-21T01:56:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-21T01:56:08","slug":"another-area-sex-offender-arrested-for-alleged-registration-violations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hvhappens.com\/index.php\/2026\/07\/21\/another-area-sex-offender-arrested-for-alleged-registration-violations\/","title":{"rendered":"Another Area Sex Offender Arrested for Alleged Registration Violations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>TRINITY COUNTY \u2014 Trinity County authorities have arrested Eric Jason Crowell, 52, after he allegedly failed to comply with sex\u2011offender registration requirements mandated under Texas law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crowell, a resident of The Landing Subdivision in Trinity County, was taken into custody on July 12, 2026 and booked into the Trinity County Jail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deputies served two felony warrants issued out of Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fail to Comply Sex Offender Duty to Register \u2013 Lifetime Annual (F3) \u2014 Warrant No. 260047\u2011A<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fail to Comply Sex Offender Duty to Register \u2013 Lifetime Annual (F3) \u2014 Warrant No. 260047\u2011B<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Both counts are third\u2011degree felonies, each carrying a potential penalty of 2\u201310 years in prison if convicted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crowell\u2019s lifetime registration stems from a 1994 conviction for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Offense: Indecency With a Child by Contact<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Statute: Texas Penal Code 21.11(a)(1)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Victim: Male, age 5<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Disposition Date: June 27, 1994<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Judgment: Parole \/ Mandatory Supervision<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Under Texas law, some individuals convicted of this offense are required to maintain lifetime annual registration, including address verification, reporting social media accounts. and other reporting requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TRINITY COUNTY \u2014 Trinity County authorities have arrested Eric Jason Crowell, 52, after he allegedly failed to comply with sex\u2011offender registration requirements mandated under Texas law.
