Bowers stadium at the Sam Houston State University is nearing its final phase of construction. Upon completion of the renovation the stadium will feature a massive 60,000 square foot, five level press box, expanded concourses, new main lobby, ticket office, fan apparel shop, updated concessions, a two-story club lounge, and 12 luxury suites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project\u2019s construction forced the Bearkats to play their 2025 home games in Shell Stadium in Houston. The Bearkats are scheduled to return to the refurbished Bowers Stadium for the 2026 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crews recently tore down the older score board and are in the process of installing a larger display on the existing metal framework.
