BEDIAS, TEXAS \u2014 Grimes County deputies were dispatched at 5:12 PM yesterday, after a 911 caller reported a shooting on Independence Drive in Bedias. When deputies arrived, they found one adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and another adult male who immediately informed authorities that he was responsible for shooting the victim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
EMS responded to the scene, but the wounded man later succumbed to his injuries. Investigators say the two men were involved in a disturbance that escalated when one of them produced a handgun and shot the other. The victim has been positively identified, and officials are working to notify his family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The man who admitted to the shooting has been detained and is cooperating with investigators. An adult female who was present during the incident is also being questioned as part of the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The case is being investigated by the Grimes County Sheriff\u2019s Office, with assistance from the Texas Rangers and the Grimes County District Attorney\u2019s Office.
