CONROE, TEXAS \u2014 A 14\u2011year\u2011old boy was wounded in a shooting early Thursday at an apartment complex on Sgt. Ed Holcomb Blvd., prompting a rapid police response and the arrest of two juvenile suspects, according to the Conroe Police Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police were dispatched at 6:14 a.m. on June 18, 2026, to the Alta Sergeant apartments, located at 650 Sgt. Ed Holcomb North, after reports of a disturbance involving weapons. Upon arrival, officers found a 14\u2011year\u2011old male in the parking lot suffering from a single gunshot wound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was alert and conscious, and officers immediately administered medical aid. Montgomery County EMS transported him to a local hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officers traced the incident to an apartment within the complex. According to police, two juvenile males, ages 14 to 15, were present at the time of the shooting but fled before officers arrived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Conroe Police Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators processed the scene and initiated a search for the suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Within hours, both juveniles were found and taken into custody. Each has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second\u2011degree felony, and transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
