MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TEXAS \u2014 The Montgomery County Sheriff\u2019s Office has arrested 21\u2011year\u2011old Evan Joseph Moore following an investigation by the Special Victims Unit (SVU) on allegations of child abuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On June 17, 2026, SVU investigators took Moore into custody for allegations of Indecency with a Child. The case began after the Sheriff\u2019s Office received allegations involving Moore, who had worked for several years in the Montgomery County area as a babysitter and nanny. During the investigation, one child under the age of 14 disclosed inappropriate abuse by Moore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moore was arrested without incident and is currently charged with Indecency with a Child. According to the Sheriff\u2019s Office, additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because Moore previously worked as a caregiver for multiple families, investigators believe there may be additional victims. The Sheriff\u2019s Office is urging anyone who may have been victimized by Moore to come forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
