HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS \u2014 An 18 year old Huntsville man with a prior aggravated sexual assault of a child was taken into custody Thursday after authorities say he failed to meet his lifetime sex\u2011offender registration obligations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sean Travius K. Walters was arrested on June 4, 2026, at 1:17 p.m. at the 1200 block of Josey Street by the Huntsville Police Department. According to officials, Walters is charged with Fail to Comply with Sex Offender\u2019s Duty to Register, a third\u2011degree felony under Texas law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Walters was booked into the Walker County Jail at 2:43 p.m. the same afternoon. His bond has been set at $30,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Texas DPS records show Walters was required to register for life for an Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. The records indicate the victim was a 13\u2011year\u2011old female.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On February 17, 2026, he was ordered to register as a sex offender for life, a requirement mandated for offenders involved in violent sexual crimes against minors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Authorities allege Walters failed to comply with those mandatory reporting requirements, leading to Thursday\u2019s arrest. The case remains under investigation, and additional court proceedings are pending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
