The Board of Trustees unanimously approved the administration\u2019s recommended compensation package at last week\u2019s meeting. District leaders emphasized that Huntsville ISD has continued to provide annual raises while maintaining a balanced budget through conservative and forward\u2011thinking financial management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new compensation plan includes the following increases:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Teachers: $3,500 raise for all certified teachers and specific non\u2011certified teachers, including CTE instructors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Instructional Assistants: $1,750 raise.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All Other Job Roles: 5% pay increase.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Starting Teacher Salary: Increased to $56,000 for first\u2011year teachers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Board also approved an increase to the district\u2019s contribution toward TRS health insurance. Huntsville ISD will now contribute $450 per month, up from $400, to help offset rising insurance costs for employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>District officials said the goal is to invest in the people who directly impact students every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are proud to continue investing in the incredible people who make a difference for students every day,\u201d the district stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How Huntsville ISD\u2019s New Teacher Pay Compares Regionally<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below are the most recently published starting teacher salaries from nearby districts.
